A small visual detail can make a journal page feel more like yours. Try one of these ideas with the supplies you already have. You do not need to decorate every page or plan a whole theme.
- Make a collage. Arrange photos, paper scraps, or magazine cutouts around a memory. Add a date or a line about why you kept them.
- Add a sticker. Use one to mark a mood, an event, or a page you want to find again.
- Try washi tape. Frame a photo, divide a page, or hold a small paper keepsake in place.
- Draw a tiny detail. Sketch your cup, a leaf, or something you saw from a window. A rough outline is enough.
- Change the lettering. Write a heading in larger letters, try a different style, or use a second color for the date.
- Write to your future self. Describe what matters to you now and something you hope to remember later.
- Make a gratitude list. Keep it specific: what happened, who was involved, or what made a moment stand out.
- Keep a playlist page. List the songs you have been returning to and add a note about where or when you heard them.
- Answer a playful prompt. Try “What would today look like as a postcard?” or browse the journal-prompt library.
- Choose a color for the day. Add a border, a small swatch, or a few marks in a color that fits the memory.
Choose the idea that makes you want to open your journal. You can keep the next page plain, repeat a favorite layout, or try something new.
